SkyTeam was founded in 2000, and currently has 20 member airlines reaching more than 1,050 destinations in 177 countries. SkyTeam carries more than 600 million passengers annually, making it the second largest alliance.
The Seatlink take
The second largest alliance boasts solid worldwide coverage, even if a given route is only served by one airline. What's hot: Delta, Air France, and KLM are all Amex partners (AF and KL are also Citi partners), Korean is a Chase partner, solid business class products all around with good award availability, and generally decent awards to Australia. What's not: getting first class awards can be tricky depending on where your points are coming from, and SkyPriority seems crowded these days.
