TransAsia Airways

The first private airline within Taiwan, TransAsia Airways has operated since 1951. TransAsia's fleet of 21 planes offer full-service flights to 33 destinations throughout the Pacific region, and was the primary carrier of cross-strait flights to and from Taiwan until flight sanctions between the two countries were relaxed in the early 2000s. Due to its regional positioning, TransAsia has code-sharing partnerships with Shenzhen Air and Xiamen Air to expand their flight network.
