Tigerair Australia

Tigerair Australia was a low-cost carrier based in Australia, operating primarily from bases in Melbourne and Brisbane. It served domestic routes across the country as well as a limited number of short-haul international destinations, and it belonged to the Value Alliance grouping of low-cost carriers. Its fleet was built around Airbus A320 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft, the latter increasingly forming the core of operations in its final years. The airline suspended flying in March 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and its parent, Virgin Australia, confirmed the brand's permanent closure later that year.
