Tigerair
Tigerair (IATA TR, ICAO TGW) was a Singapore-based low-cost carrier that flew from its main base at Singapore Changi Airport. It operated short- and medium-haul routes across Southeast Asia and to Bangladesh, China, Taiwan and India, reaching around three dozen destinations by the end. Its fleet was built around Airbus narrowbodies, chiefly the Airbus A320 alongside the smaller Airbus A319, and it belonged to the Value Alliance low-cost grouping. Tigerair merged into sister airline Scoot and ceased operating under its own brand on 25 July 2017, with its aircraft transferring to Scoot.

Not the greatest experience
A budget airline for sure. As a frequent flyer I have experienced varying degrees of service and comfort and service when flying. I have flown many budget airlines, and even being budget have had some great experiences, unfortunately Tiger was not one of them. On a recent vacation I flew with Tiger between Singapore and Penang. It’s not uncommon for there to be flight delays, but on this flight, we had a 2 hour delay without so much as an announcement from Tiger. After finally boarding the plane I found the cabin extremely old and visibly it looked like there had been very little maintenance done over the years. The seats were extremely cramped and did not recline easily. To top it off, my tray table had become detached from the brackets. I can compliment the air crew on being friendly and professional, but that was the only pleasurable moment of the flight.
