This seat has a metre or two of legroom. Sure they tray is in the armrest but in flight it rotates out of the way and is far more flexible v any other screen fixed on a seat that ends up inches from your face. The crew face you only on takeoff and landing and are 1.5 metres away. There is a seat pocket beside the seat on a wall but no bag storage although in flight the gap to the wall is generous for further space. The toilets nearby face the aisle not these seats and passengers cant congregate at doors so they dont interfere. The door which sits forward of the seat only has a tiny observation port so passengers peering outside is not possible either.. I have never had sleep disturbed here. Engine noise is also ok as the engines arent forward of the seat. Disturbance from toilets and smells is not bothersome. But the crew underfloor access near the loos (not marked on seatguru or seat maps) can shine brightly when they changeover in midflight but its very brief. Still my preferred seat in economy. Well worth the extra fee. You are also served first so wont miss your meal choice. Last time proximity to crew saved my transfer on a late flight. Crew escorted me to the exit and i did have to wait for business but was tgen first off to just make a connection. Thanks qantas crew!!

Most Comfortable Seat I have Ever Sat On

The QantasLink Q400 has the most comfortable seats I have ever used on a plane. Their seats also have really good legroom, especially compared to larger jet aircraft.

This row is better than you think. You have space behind seat to put stuff and the window seat has room between seat and window.

Couple Unfriendly Business Class

In September we took our first Business Class flight for a couple of years returning from Samoa on QF340. With a flight time of 6.5 hrs and late arrival into Sydney, we were looking forward to the extra comfort and service. We had seats 5E

Perfectly acceptable, good headphones means no noise.

This is a great seat no galley no toilets near by. If you can get the seat next to you as well 36k its even better if not you can get bumped a bit from the crew from the galley.

Solid choice, no seat reclining in front of you; may have extra legroom; no underseat stowage; traytable in armrest means narrower seat.
