JetBlue A321neo Mint: Where to Sit

Every seat on this jet is a genuine upgrade over the old Mint — all 16 business-class pods are private 1-1 suites with sliding doors and direct aisle access, and economy runs a standard 3-3. But a handful of seats still trip people up, so let me steer you clear of those first.

Which seats should I skip?

In Mint, avoid 8A and 8F. They look tempting — there's open space behind instead of another suite — but 8A and 8F are located just in front of the economy cabin — the lavatory and self-serve snack and beverage bar, to be more specific. There's no curtain dividing the two, so you get foot traffic and noise. On top of that, suites at row 8 only include one window instead of two.

In economy, row 32 is the one to dodge — 32A through 32F all sit right against the rear lavatory and galley, which is why they're rated poor to bad. 31C and 31D catch the same lav traffic. Skip those too.

I want the best business-class suite

Book 1A or 1F. These bulkhead pods are the JetBlue Studios — the two pods in row one are designated as studios, and offer added space, more storage, a larger 22-inch TV and more for an additional charge. They're the roomiest seats on the plane. Any suite in rows 2 through 7 is a safe, near-identical pick if you'd rather not pay the Studio upcharge — every one is a lie-flat with a door, 22 inches wide, plus power and USB-C.

I'm tall or want the most legroom

Head for the exit rows, 13 and 14. Both are Even More Space rows with extra pitch and earn straight green ratings. Row 14 is the cleaner choice — 14A–14F carry no downsides beyond the seat itself, while row 13 has fixed armrests and slightly narrower seats. Row 9 also has extra legroom, but it sits by the forward lavatory; 9F is the pick there if you want it, being the least compromised of the bunch.

I'm a window person

Be aware the over-wing stretch, rows 11 through 17, has a restricted view — you're staring at the wing. If the view matters more than legroom, choose a window ahead of row 11. If legroom wins, 13A/13F and 14A/14F still give you the exit-row space over that wing.

I want to be first off the plane

Grab a forward Mint suite or, in economy, anything in rows 13–14 near the front of the cabin. Just don't confuse "front of economy" with row 9 — the lavatory alongside it means loiterers, not a fast exit.
