India3.04 reviewsStar Alliance memberWebsite

Air India, the flag carrier of India (IATA AI, ICAO AIC), is a member of Star Alliance and operates from its principal hubs at Delhi and Mumbai. Its network combines extensive domestic service across India with international routes reaching the Middle East, Europe, North America, and East and Southeast Asia. Across these operations you'll encounter its narrowbody Airbus family, including the A319, A320, and A321, alongside widebodies flown on longer sectors such as the Boeing 777-200LR, 777-300ER, 787-8 Dreamliner, and the older Boeing 747-400.

There are many areas where tremendous improvement is needed. All staff should be attentive with a sense urgengy and at the same time courteos. In tele checkin or web check in there should be provision for getiing it by email.

    Aging Maharaja getting outdated

One thing which could not change in this dynamic world is Air India. Aging fleet as well as airhostess, unfriendly staff and outdated experience. No wonder that Air India is consistently bleeding with financial and market share losses. Sadly, flight was delayed by about half an hour which is normal for the airline. Only brighter side of the journey was quality of food offered was good. In spite of being full service carrier, Air India is far behind modern LCC carriers operating in India. Unless you are left with no other option or you are traveling to routes which are not served by other Airline, avoid Air India!
