TAME Linea Aerea del Ecuador
TAME EP Linea Aerea del Ecuador, using codes EQ and TAE, was Ecuador's flag carrier, founded in 1962 and headquartered in Quito, where it maintained its main hub at Mariscal Sucre International Airport alongside a secondary base in Guayaquil. It operated a domestic network across Ecuador plus international routes to destinations including Bogotá, Lima, Panama City, Havana, Buenos Aires, Miami and New York. Its fleet centered on the Airbus A319, A320 and A330, the Embraer 190, and ATR 42 turboprops. The carrier belonged to no global alliance, and the Ecuadorian government ceased its operations and liquidated the airline in 2020.
