RUTACA Airlines (IATA 5R, ICAO RUC) is a Venezuelan carrier founded in 1974, headquartered in Ciudad Bolívar with its home base at Tomás de Heres Airport and its main hub at Caracas Simón Bolívar International Airport. Its network is primarily domestic, linking Caracas with cities such as Porlamar, Puerto Ordaz, Maracaibo, Maturín, Barcelona, Barquisimeto, Valencia and Ciudad Bolívar, alongside a small number of Caribbean international routes to the Dominican Republic and Cuba, plus charter work. The fleet is built around Boeing 737 Classic-generation jets, including the Boeing 737-200 you will see on our seat maps, together with 737-300s. RUTACA is not a member of any global airline alliance.
