Penair

PenAir, formally Peninsula Airways (IATA KS, ICAO PEN), was a United States regional airline based at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Alaska. Founded in 1955, it operated scheduled, charter and medevac flights to Alaskan communities such as Dutch Harbor, Cold Bay, King Salmon, Sand Point and the Pribilof Islands, and for a period flew Essential Air Service routes in the Lower 48 from bases including Boston, Denver and Portland, Oregon. Its later fleet was built around Saab 340 turboprops, with Saab 2000s also used. The carrier belonged to no global alliance, codesharing instead with Alaska Airlines, and ceased operations in April 2020 following the RavnAir Group bankruptcy.
