Madagascar Airlines

Madagascar Airlines, operating under the codes MD and MAD, is the Malagasy flag carrier, formed from the former Air Madagascar and its domestic arm Tsaradia, and it bases its operations at Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo. The network is built around domestic routes connecting the capital with Nosy Be, Morondava, Toamasina, Antsiranana and other regional airports, extended by services to neighbouring Indian Ocean islands and African points, with links toward Europe and Asia largely handled alongside partner carriers. Flying is centred on ATR 72 turboprops, with jet equipment used on selected longer or higher-demand routes. The airline is not part of a global alliance.
