Joy Air
Joy Air was a Chinese regional carrier based in Xi'an, operating under IATA code JR and ICAO code JOY. Founded in 2008 as a joint venture between China Eastern Airlines and AVIC, it began flying in 2009 and later moved its main operating base from Tianjin to Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, with additional bases including Hefei, Taiyuan, Yinchuan and Karamay. Its network was entirely domestic, concentrated on northwestern China and links from Xi'an to cities such as Tianjin, Harbin and Changsha. The fleet was built around the Xian Yunshuji MA60 turboprop, the type shown on these seat maps, alongside a few Boeing 737-800s. It belonged to no alliance, and flights were grounded in April 2025 amid restructuring.
