Jetstar Airways, IATA JQ and ICAO JST, is an Australian low-cost carrier within the Qantas Group, based mainly in Melbourne with additional bases in Brisbane, Sydney, the Gold Coast, Cairns and Avalon. Its network covers domestic Australia, Trans-Tasman routes to New Zealand and international services across the Asia-Pacific, including Bali, Southeast Asia and Japan. Short-haul flying centers on the Airbus A320 and A321, while the Boeing 787-8 and Airbus A330-200, shown here in two configurations, cover longer sectors. Jetstar does not belong to a global airline alliance.

Another Great Jetstar Experience
I have to say, Jetstar provides an exceptional experience for a budget airline. I recently flew Jetstar from Sydney to Hobart return, and could not complain with the fare of $79.00 each way which was the cheapest of all the carriers on my chosen flight days. I am a bit taller than the average person, so the seats on the A320 were a little cramped, but this was compensated for by the friendly and professional flight crew who made the flight an enjoyable experience. It was nice to see the cabin crew going the extra mile to help a young mother sitting in the row behind me settle her young toddler before the flight took off. This is a just an example of professionalism of the Jetstar crew. As a budget airline, the food selection was not the greatest, but it was only a 90 minute flight. I would suggest people take their own snacks when flying Jetstar. I fly Jetstar at least once a month and would recommend it to anyone.
