
Japan Transocean Air
Japan Transocean Air, flying under the IATA code NU, is an Okinawa-based Japanese carrier with its main hub at Naha Airport and a secondary base at Ishigaki. Its network centres on the Okinawan and outlying islands, including Miyako, Ishigaki, Kumejima, Yonaguni and the Daito islands, together with mainland Japanese cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka, and its first scheduled international route, a daily Naha–Taipei service launched in February 2026. The fleet is standardised on the Boeing 737-800, numbering a little over a dozen aircraft. JTA is a Japan Airlines subsidiary and is not itself an alliance member.
