Izhavia (IATA I8, ICAO IZA) is the national airline of Russia's Udmurt Republic, based at its hub, Izhevsk Airport. Formed in 1992 from the former Aeroflot Izhevsk division, it operates domestic scheduled and charter services, linking Izhevsk with cities such as Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Sochi, Yekaterinburg and Kaliningrad; it currently flies no international routes and belongs to no airline alliance. Its Soviet-built fleet centers on the Yakovlev Yak-42, the type most travelers will encounter here, alongside Antonov An-24 turboprops used on regional and charter flying, complemented by a small number of Boeing 737s.
