So glad my bid for upgrade to Business Class was not high enough.
Flying Jan. 4 2023 JFK to CAI on Egpytair # 986 which at that time departed about 5 pm for an overnight. I understand same flt leaves earlier from JFK now. I was flying on a partner miles ticket using United miles on Egyptair to CAI then after a few days in Cairo and Luxor, continued on to Tel Aviv on Egyptair. With the United program the CAI-TLV leg was "free". I returned to U.S. on United from TLV. Point of those details is that I was flying at the lowest economy level with the points ticket, so I had no say-so as to advance seat choice on that particular fare with Egyptair. I received an email 48 hours before departure with an upgrade bid offer to business class. I responded with the minimum bid threshold: $900. I am happy that was not accepted because I ended up with the 22H which is an aisle on the 3-seat right of the plane just three rows behind the biz class section. With that I got a good look at the biz class seats on this airline. Not worth $900.00. So I enjoyed my aisle seat. I know some don't like aisles because the traffic sometimes will bump into you (other passengers, the bev. cart). That's OK with me. I need access to the lavs. I'm old. LOL. So if you prefer aisles, you fly on this airline in economy and you have a choice, definitely go for this seat of one nearby (behind). It has access to lavs front and behind. Bonus: The middle seat was empty and the fellow at the window slept the entire flight until we neared CAI. Attached view towards biz class from 22H. Further comment: I'd give the airline an overall B rating. It was all good in economy/coach, even the overnight pack with slippers, earphones, etc. But not up to say British Air or American and Delta. But I'd fly them again if I needed to go to Cairo. Egyptair is the ONLY way to get to CAI non-stop from North America: From JFK, Dulles or Toronto. At least that was the case when I made plans for early 2023.

Good and bad, but overall an ok seat, exposed seat may get bumped by service cart.

Could be an issue for some travelers, near the galley.

Just not a good seat, may have limited recline; near the lavatory.

Not terrible, but not good either, may have extra legroom; no seat reclining in front of you; no underseat stowage; near the lavatory; traytable in armrest means narrower seat; armrests do not move.
