Traveler reviews

  • 10Aanonymous

    Skip, does not recline

  • 22Canonymous

    Cramped and uncomfortable.

These seats are thickly padded which effectively reduces the seat pitch - especially the leg room. I am tall but my knees were jammed into the seat in front and the ridge at the top of the netting seat pocket in front is precisely lined up to dig into your knees. A small bottle of water and a tiny packet of crisps is dished out in flight. Better to bring your own from one of the airport outlets.

  • 10E★★seatlink

I've sat in better, does not recline (exit row behind).

One Mile at a Time· Review: British Airways Club Europe Business Class Airbus A320neo (MUC-LHR)
  • Called the Club Europe recliners "pretty standard economy seats" at 30″ pitch and nearly 18″ width — not spacious, though the blocked middle helped
  • Flagged a quirk: the blocked centre seat had no tray or console, unlike some other European carriers
  • Appreciated the AC outlet plus USB-A at every Club seat, noting AC power only reaches the first 12 rows
  • Found no seatback screens and no streaming library at all; wifi ran £1.99 for messaging (free for Club members) up to £6.99 for full-flight streaming
  • Gave BA credit for a hot breakfast on a 95-minute hop, but sitting in the last row meant no choice of dish

One Mile at a Time· Review: British Airways A320 Business Class
  • Saw the biggest intra-Europe business cabin he'd encountered, with Club Europe stretching back to row 12 — nearly half the plane
  • Chose the bulkhead deliberately, saying it beats sitting in 30″ of pitch; legroom in the rest of the cabin was "really limited"
  • Criticised the aircraft for having neither in-seat power nor wifi on one of the longest routes BA's A320 flies
  • Slammed the ground handling of a long slot delay: no service at all, not even water in plastic cups
  • Found the mixed fleet crew unpolished — first drinks 25 minutes after takeoff, the meal not until 75 minutes, and no refills offered

Travel Codex· Review: British Airways A320 Club Europe, London-Glasgow-Paris
  • Measured the A320's B/E Aerospace Pinnacle seats at 30″ pitch and 17.7″ width, and found legroom actually tighter on the newer A321neo, where his knees hit the seat in front
  • Liked that the older A320 fits a removable tray table on the blocked middle seat, which makes the pair feel more private
  • Called the entertainment portal pretty limited — nothing but basic flight stats unless you pay £1.99 for messaging or £4.99 to browse
  • Noted every seat has a 110v outlet and USB-A, but disliked the placement, with the USB at the top of the outlet on the A320 so short cables won't reach
  • Rated the food a highlight: afternoon tea sandwiches were decent and "the scones steal the show," while the late Paris hop brought roast beef salad, chocolate cake and a drinkable sauvignon blanc

The Alviator· Review: British Airways A320neo New Club Europe (AMS-LHR)
  • Rated the new Collins Meridian cabin "definitely British Airways' most handsome," with sports-car stitching, red accents, adjustable headrests, mood lighting and a returning faux-leather side table
  • Found 30″ pitch gave adequate legroom but very little recline, and recommended the bulkhead row for space if you can live without underseat storage
  • Called the power setup the sharpest disappointment: no 110V outlet at all, just 60W USB-C and USB-A in Club and 15W further back — worse than BA's older A320ceos
  • Reported the wifi inoperable on the flight, with pricing from £1.99 messaging to £6.99 full-flight and no Club Europe concession
  • Enjoyed the DO&CO cold plate — a tasty roast beef salad and a smooth raspberry pot de crème — with champagne and a friendly, efficient crew
