Bek Air

Bek Air (IATA Z9, ICAO BEK) was a Kazakh low-cost carrier that flew domestic scheduled services, with its base at Oral (Uralsk) Ak Zhol Airport and major traffic through Almaty and the capital, Nur-Sultan (Astana). Its network stayed entirely within Kazakhstan, linking cities such as Aktau, Aktobe, Atyrau, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar, Shymkent, Oskemen and Zhezkazgan, so there were no long-haul or international focus markets. The fleet consisted of Rolls-Royce Tay–powered Fokker 100 jets in a single-class economy layout, the type shown on the seat maps here. The airline was not a member of any global alliance. Flights were suspended after a fatal Fokker 100 accident at Almaty in December 2019, and operations ceased permanently in April 2020 when regulators withdrew its certificates.
