AirAsia (IATA AK, ICAO AXM) is a Malaysian low-cost carrier whose main hub is Kuala Lumpur International Airport, supported by additional bases at Penang, Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. Its short-haul network covers domestic Malaysian routes and the rest of Southeast Asia, including Singapore and Thailand, plus services reaching China, India and other parts of Asia. The fleet is all-Airbus narrowbody, combining A320s with newer A320neos and higher-capacity A321neos; the A320 is the type shown on the seat maps here. AirAsia belongs to no global alliance, operating instead alongside affiliated carriers within the wider AirAsia group.

Local Flight, 2nd Flight!
AirAsia formerly known as ZestAir, second flight to Kalibo International Airport, but this time, we go Romblon (Carabao Island), medical mission, dental mission and free circumcision. Since this is my second time in a local flight, I did not expect that much services from ZestAir 'tho I must say, that the food was quite satisfying compared to the food/snack served in PAL. Flight attendants were friendly and nice. And the experience that I had in ZestAir was unforgettable. Why? Because our pilot/captain was a lady. One would actually feel the difference if the plane were driven by a man or a lady. Exceptionally a smooth ride all the way through. I can't mention your name because I can't remember, but still you are one of the best pilots throughout my entire aircraft adventures.

You get what you pay for- and it's good!
AirAsia is a solid airline if you want to fly on a budget. That’s why it was created! There is no in-flight entertainment as there are no televisions, but the planes are new and clean. The cabin crew are really friendly and presentable, and always polite and knowledgeable. Food and drinks are extra, but the nasi lemak (Malay rice with beef curry) is absolutely delicious, as are the noodles and the fried rice. You can pre-book your food online so that it is waiting for you on the plane and you are guaranteed a tasty and authentic lunch or dinner.
