AirAsia India
AirAsia India was an Indian low-cost carrier that began flying in 2014, headquartered in Bengaluru, where it maintained its main base alongside operating bases at Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. Its network was built around domestic routes across India, linking metro cities with smaller regional airports, and it later added a limited number of short-haul international services. The airline flew an all-Airbus A320 family fleet in a single-class economy layout, and it belonged to no global alliance. Renamed AIX Connect after the AirAsia brand was retired in 2023, it was legally merged into Air India Express on 1 October 2024 and ceased to operate separately.
