Air Berlin
GermanyWebsite
Air Berlin has suspended operations as of August 2017. It was second only to Lufthansa in their home market of Germany, and Europe's eighth largest airline. Lufthansa has agreed to take over 81 of their aircraft as of October 2017. Operating from both Berlin International and Dusseldorf Airport, Air Berlin relied upon their sizeable fleet of 140 planes to ferry passengers to 92 destinations throughout Europe, North Africa, and routes to the Caribbean and Americas. This full-service airline was a member of the Oneworld Alliance, and maintained code-sharing partnerships with Asian airlines such as JAL and Korean Air, as well as Bulgaria Air, British Airways, and American Airlines, among others.
